Leeds go fifth match without a win

Premier League: Leeds 1-1 Brighton and Hove Albion

Despite being the favourite, Brighton and Hove Albion came away with just a 1-1 draw away against Leeds. There was a better-than-expected performance from Leeds, who managed a draw against favourites Brighton.

Brighton and Hove Albion fielded the same line-up as the last time they took to the pitch.

The first half finished without further incident. The 83rd minute saw a change in the Leeds line-up: Struijk and Greenwood came onto the pitch while Firpo and Klich headed for early showers. With no team making any headway until the final whistle was blown, the result was a draw.

Leeds should be looking to shore up their defence, given that they have let in an average of 2.11 goals per game this season. Leeds have 35 points and are 17th in the league. Leeds are now five games without a win.

Brighton are tenth in the league with 48 points. Away side were unable to build on their winning streak of two matches.

Leeds will take on Brentford at 17:00 in an away match on Sunday. Brighton and Hove Albion will play at home that day, taking on West Ham United.
