Brighton secure themselves a point

Premier League: Brighton and Hove Albion 2-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Despite being favourite, Wolverhampton Wanderers came away with just a 2-2 draw away against Brighton and Hove Albion. The betting odds had favoured Wolverhampton Wanderers before the game. But the match itself was a different story.

Jota drove the ball home for Wolverhampton Wanderers, making the score 1-0, in the 28th minute. A little later, Maupay equalised for Brighton and Hove Albion in the 34th minute. It took 36 minutes for Pröpper, with a header, to put his team into a 2-1 lead. Wolverhampton Wanderers -player Jota gave his team a lift just before half-time with an equalizer in the 44th minute. A double substitution in the 68th minute brought Jahanbakhsh and Murray out onto the pitch to replace Groß and Trossard. Neither Brighton nor Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to pull away from the other, leaving the final result a draw.

Brighton and Hove Albion find themselves unable to get out of the table's lower half. They are currently ranked 10th. Brighton have managed to gain only four points in their last five games.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have only managed to bring home 11 points from their games on the road. After 14 games and only two defeats, visiting team are on a roll with 20 points in the bank. Wolverhampton Wanderers were unable to build on their winning streak of two matches.

Both teams have scored four wins this season.

Brighton and Hove Albion will travel to take on Crystal Palace next Monday at 20:45. The day before, Wolverhampton Wanderers play against Tottenham Hotspur.
