Cresswell secures the victory for West Ham

Premier League: Chelsea 0-1 West Ham United

West Ham United beat Chelsea 1-0 on Saturday. The pre-game consensus was that Chelsea would win. However, the non-favoured West Ham unleashed a surprise and handily beat their rivals.

While Chelsea started the game with 592026, 594986, 638416, and 643836 instead of 592816, 592826, 593016, and 593796, West Ham United decided that it was a better idea to field 594746, 609746, 621886, and 645076 instead of the 610076, 621896, 622036, and 638296 seen last time out.

Both went back to the changing rooms at half-time without scoring. Aaron Cresswell put West Ham into the lead in the 48th minute. A double substitution in the 63rd minute brought N'Golo Kante and Willian out onto the pitch to replace Jorginho and Pedro. West Ham United finished the game with a 1-0 victory.

12 matches into the season, and with a haul of 22 points, Chelsea find themselves in the table's prized fourth spot. Host side have seven wins, four losses, and a draw on their account.

West Ham have only managed to bring home eight points from their games on the road. With just 11 points from their 11 games this season, visiting side find themselves in danger of being relegated. West Ham United need to improve their somewhat-scanty record, given that they are tallying three wins, six losses, and two draws. West Ham have managed to gain only three points in their last five games.

Chelsea will visit Everton on Saturday. West Ham United will travel to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at 20:30 on Wednesday.
